XP issues after uninstalled Norton Utilities

Symantec Norton utilities 14.0
October 14, 2010 at 06:24:41
Specs: Windows XP Home Edition, 2666 MHz / 2 GB
I installed Norton Utilities on my XP computer and ran their auto options of Registry clean up and Manage Your Services. GMail will no longer download, except HTML view, and my news website now appears in HTML. I de-installed Norton. I thought that restoring the System to a point before using Norton would correct the problem. System restore now answers that it cannot restore to various check-points I choose. My guess is that Norton software has messed with settings because the other software was working perfectly fine before. Is their a fix to these two software problems?

Use the Norton uninstaller from their website to clear it out.

I would get rid of that bloatware and possibly use Avast Fee....much better protection that actually works without bogging down your PC.

Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers

XpUser4Real . . . I used the Norton Unistaller. Still not fixed then disables all Labs features in GMail. It worked. The www.smh.com.au website still loads as HTML though.
