✔ Best Answer
Many anti-virus programs are no longer compatible with XP. Try BitDefender Free Edition.

Microsoft Security Essentials still runs and is updated regularly by MS on XP if you already have it. However it can no longer be downloaded. If you need it let me know as I should be able to put the download on a file hosting website.

Bitdefender, already given, should work although I have heard reports that it slows XP down.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Just for info, after a week or so please let us know how you are getting on, particularly whether XP performance has been affected. It is possible that the current version of Bitdefender is better than those in the past.

Thanks.
