Specs: Windows XP
i had a website popup and i normally go to task manager to get rid of in case of virus, well my taksmanager was disabled by administrator. i didnt click anything, I just restarted my laptop.
there is a round red circle with a white x through it in my taskbar and every 10 sec a popup comes up saying Danger! unauthorized person is trying to steal your passwords and private information, click here to stop identity theft. Im not clicking on anything!!!

I have malwarebytes and so far its showing one infection.. waiting for it to stop.

now it says harmful viruses detected on your computer, protect ur computer by clicking here. Now a grey box there is unauthorized antivirus software detected, remove antimalwarebytes so it doesnt interfere with protection! yeah whatever!

shame on you sarah, those aren't good sites to be on...LOL

Try
1- Trojan Remover
2- Hitman Pro
Run both till they are clean and then you can uninstall them.

Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers
