Windows must now restart because a plug and p

January 25, 2010 at 13:52:00
Specs: Windows Vista
Recently I had some virus trouble- got rid of it with a few scans. After that, I have been getting a message- “Windows must now restart because a plug and play service terminated unexpectedly”. I Run “shutdown –a” to cancel the shutdown, which works…but my audio goes off. Any suggestions will be much appreciated
Thanks

Ran into the same problem, ran a program called hitman pro 3.5 which you can use for a 30 day trial and that found a rootkit that the other scans I ran did not detect, everything seems to be running smooth now.
