Should I subscribe to Emsisoft Internet Security Suite that has Anti-Virus (AV), Mal-ware (MW), Ad-ware (AW), updates to their PC security products line-up and Quick, Custom and Full scan? Pls. Advise/Suggest.
It is based in Europe.
Why pay when there's a free alternative? I've been using the free version of Comodo Internet Security for 8 years now, never been hacked, never been infected, never had a browser-hijack. I think that speaks volumes about it's comprehensive effectiveness:
And the other utilities you mention - that are free versions of similar utilities too; and also known (here at least) to safe, reliable to use... adwcleaner (there are quite variants on this name - but this is "the one" to get - for free):

malwarebytes:

ccleaner:

Junkware Removal Tool (JRT):

JRT installs to the desktop - from where run it. IT will open into a dos style window; follow the instructions therein. It will reboot the system as part of its process.
Install all of the above using the custom/manual mode - NOT the proffered/default "automatic". Carefully watch for - and uncheck - any rechecked boxes; apart from the actual utility itself. That way you avoid installing al inner of unwanted stuff - some of which makes changes to the system; and much of it is a pain to remove. Never install any software downloaded off the web using the automatic install option; always go manual/custom.
Even if you ignore that there are free alternatives (as mentioned above) to security, I'd think two points on the page below would stand out against this suite... 1. "Emsisoft Internet Security by Emsisoft costs $24.97 for a licensing period of 12 months, which is 38% more expensive than the average antivirus software."
2. "Emsisoft Internet Security received an impact score of 4.2. This ranks 14th among the 17 antivirus software products ranked. A score this high implies the product does degrade system performance."

I've been using MS Windows Defender for years (in it's various forms). Never hit anything bad. The best way to avoid problems is to improve browsing habits - there is plenty of info to be found in Google. Knowledge of scams also helps and of-course be careful with email attachments and freebie programs. Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
Thank you for the tips. Really there are free alternatives (as mentioned above) to security. It is more expensive than the average antivirus software. But this is a market, we can choose what we want.
True re' personal choice. Sadly though any of these pay for suites are often bloated; some even suffer from side effects in that the system will run slower...; and support levels vary. It is not for nothing that there are often calls for help with at least one of the major pay for utilities... The freebies, of which there are many, survive and are popular, because generally they are not bloated; generally do not adversely affect the operating system's overall performance.
