Hey everyone,
Does anybody have a good fix for the virus known as "Virut". Perhaps a remover, I tried the AVG virut remover but not too effective. I've been getting more and more computers in with this virus and I'm getting sick of the classic Re&Re for a solution.

The variant that I've been repeatedly challenged with seems to be infecting exe files, but only those that have been used after the initial infection. It also has been leaving an autorun and a rundll on the clients flash drives.
I thank you for your help, I'll let you know how that link helps.

This reply goes out to both James88 and Josh Tech Guy.
The symmantec site has list of virus specific removal tools
and there is one for Virut. It has a .com extension so Virut won't infect it, this is a good thing. I have used it once and my associate has used it a few more times than I and we've been very surprised with it's effectiveness. I'm pretty confident in saying that it removed the whole infection. It takes a long time to complete but not much longer than a regular scan. Hopefully you guys never have to use it, but if you do let me know how well it worked. Thanks guys for the good advice.
