Sometimes if the "adobe flash" plugin or "java runtime" are out dated you may be redirected there to update them or to install them if you do not currently have them installed to play said games. If that is not the case and you think you have virus, adobe flash and java are both up to date etc, then you may wish to try uninstalling defender since it is no longer running. Download and run a program called malware bytes to remove any nasties, remove what the scan finds, you likely have to restart as well. You can also run a root kit scan from Kaspersky, only takes a minute, and then install something like Avast or AVG free editions, or try reinstalling your product if you paid for it. Update the anti virus and run a full scan to clean up the system.

On re read, is windows Defender your only protection? It is a malware protection program and not Anti Virus protection per se, for that there microsoft security essentials. Personally, I disable Defender, use Avast anti virus and run malwarebytes once and awhile, better protection in my opinion though malwarebytes does not work in real time unless you purchase it. You need something more than just defender though.

If your browser internet explorer keeps redirecting, then you should upgrade to a new version of internet explorer. Also browser redirection can sometimes caused because of computer virus. For fixing this issue, first re install Windows Defender and then install some other strong antivirus program like AVG, Immunet, Norton, MSE, Avast etc. Now, perform a complete scan of your PC with the installed antivirus of your choice. Hopefully the issue will get fixed.
