Virus from website?

January 25, 2010 at 09:12:42
Specs: Windows Vista
I opened website "" and i got this question:

Warning!!! Your computer contains various signs of viruses and malware programs presence. Your system requires immediate anti viruses check! System Security will perform a quick and free scanning of your PC for viruses and malicious programs.

I knew it should be virus and i wanted to close firefox with Alt+F4 but it closed the virus question box only, so it automaticaly went to the website and something quickly started to scan, (the virus started to infect i think) so i quickly closed firefox.
My question is that is it possible that I still got the virus altough i visited the website only for 1 sec max.
Thank your for your answers and i'm sorry for bad english!

The scan is bogus too. It's just an animation (showing all sorts of nasties that don't actually exist). They are hacking many websites.

It's no more harmful than any other animation so it's very unlikely you got caught. There's no harm running your AV etc tho, and run the free version of MalwareBytes (updated) - just to be sure.

some other bloke...

There is a possiblity.
Please download the free version of Malwarebytes from this link:
Please update then do a full scan.
Let me know what you found.
It may take me a day or two to get back to you as I do malware removal proffesionally and am quite busy but I will get back to you.

If you would like me to take a closer look you could send me a sysinspector log to my email, you don't have to but if you would like. I won't charge.
