Specs: Windows 7
IE is not my default browser on Wins7 but it keeps popping up and open window, how do I stop this? I am not able to find how to stop this from happening or why it started.
Also my mouse seems to have a mind of its own and usually I have to restart my pc to clear this problem

This sounds a lot like a virus/ malware problem. First you need to identify the trouble. If you have a decent antivirus program and it has the latest virus definitions (this happens automatically if you have it on automatic updates). If you have this and it does not catch it then You could D/L any decent malware program. There are several good ones offered free or at least free for an introductory period. I used to use Ad-aware by lavasoft but there are others. If this doesn't catch it then you have to try to identify it by it's actions. When the browser opens does it always direct you to the same or similar sites like porn or generic antivirus software or home shopping etc.? If so then you can use google and get creative like "browser popup virus porn" or whatever. There are several virus like programs that are not caught by popular anti-virus programs but there are fixes out there once you ID the bug. One nasty one is "antivirus 2012" which looks like it's scanning your system and then puts up a link to their software to fix it but really they are just trolling for your ID and credit info. Be careful! Never click on links that seem the least bit fishy. If you are tempted, first google the target and see if it is legit.

Just did a quick check in google for "ie browser popup virus" and found this. These people swear by and I have heard of this as being fine software. Good luck.

Yep, MalwareBytes is a good one. I usually get it from this website to be certain it is the free version (green icon at top right of page):

You might care to run ADWCleaner too as sometimes you collect unwanted toolbars that can do some weird things. Get it here:
You Save the file somewhere (rather than running it) then double click the file. Run the Scan followed by the Clean and it will remove all bad toolbars.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
