I've recently uninstalled AGV. But I'm still getting frequent messages from them, telling me my computer needs restarting! How do I get rid of them?

Did you restart your computer or not after you uninstalled the 'AGV' (automated guided vehicle), do you mean Anti virus?

Try these in the exact order listed
1- rkill.exe
2- tdss killer
3- malwarebytes
Don't reboot until the last scan, then reboot. I believe you have a fake AVG installed.

silvergirl,
You could try running the AVG removal tool and see if that fixes your problems.

Try #8 again, only this time in Safe mode. If that doesn't work...try these 2 fully working trials:
1- Trojan Remover
http://www.simplysup.com/tremover/d...
2- Hitman Pro
http://www.surfright.nl/en/downloads/
Run them both till they run clean....
