Specs: Windows XP
Hey Guys,
Since last few days I am encountering problem with my anti-virus.
1st i had installed AVG 8, then tried installing NOD 32, Then again installed AVG 9..... But none of the anti-virus was able to update. The error message given by AVG was " Update is forbidden by the server."
I am really tensed.
Apart from this my Internet speed, which was quite well initially, is slowed down to a great extent.

While checking for solution on the forum I found following steps;

I tried all the steps.
But after installing Malwarebytes anti-malware, I am unable to scan.
The Malware-bytes antimalware opens and gets closed automatically within 5 to 10 secs.
Making it unable to update and scan.
Please help me guys. What to do????

Hi XPuser4real,

I tried scanning with trojan remover. But it didn't helped actually.

Trojan Remover found few viruses/ malware. But it didn't removed it from my computer. (Instead just renamed it).

Even after doing so, Still i m not able to scan antimalware, neither update or scan antivirus......

Now even my Internet has stopped working.

Dude please help what to do?????

Is it really possible to resolve the issue without formatting my computer??? As I have all important document and taking a back-up would be a mess......

malware bytes works.make a limited user account(because the virus cant do much complicated things limited account they need and administrator account for that).and restart in safe mode login to the limited account and goto the place were you installed malware bytes rename the malware bytes executor file(i think its call mabm) to a random name that makes no sense(eg sjlghlkj) and run it then do a quick scan if it find any viruses make it quarentine them.then do the dns flush here is how to.
and then try to update antivirus if it works run a virus scan and fix every thing
