Specs: Windows XP Pro
I am receiving RPC terminated unexpectedly errors. I have tried Kaspersky antivirus and a few other programs as I had assumed this was the blasterworm. No virus was found. I attempt to enter services via safe mode to disable the RPC service and it does not work, also tried services.msc from Cmd and it does not work. Help!!!

You are correct on your assumption. Please run Rkill from the following link: http://download.bleepingcomputer.co... after it finishes please DO NOT reboot your computer as the worm may restart (this tool only kills the running/hidden processes of it), and then do a scan with the Norton W32.Blaster.Worm removal tool: http://www.symantec.com/security_re... , before running this tool, please close all other running programs, and disconnect from the internet.

I tried running RKILL from both normal and safe modes. Each time it would kill all processes and it would remove all desktop icons as well as the start menu. I would have to ctrl>alt>del to restart the computer. I was not given the chance to run fixblast.
What's next?

Shutting down explorer.exe is normal for Rkill to do (which if shut down/restarting the process it makes the taskbar and start menu go away), did you try running Fixblast when you rebooted the computer?.. You could also try Hitman Pro: http://download.cnet.com/Hitman-Pro... which has to be run from normal mode.

Thank you very much for telling me about Hitmanpro. It worked!! I gave the pc back to the owner and the owner had received Win 7 Home Premium as a gift. So after all my struggles with the pc, he wasn't me to reformat and do a fresh install. Go figure!
Thanks again!!!!
