I want to use a different AV program other than Windows Defender. If I turn it off via the control panel, will I be able to install a different AV program such as Avira, Avast or AVG?

Thank you.

✔ Best Answer
"I want to use a different AV program other than Windows Defender"
That is what I use.
Go to any Malware forum & no matter what AV they have installed, they got infected.
It is up to the User to be vigilant.

Use Unchecky to help prevent these third party installs. Nothing is perfect, the badies are always ahead of the goodies, so be vigilant.

Installing any of those programs, automatically turns off Defender.

Hi, Brian. I'm the community outreach manager for Reason Core Security. I wanted to thank John for mentioning Unchecky, our product, and let you know that we've bundled it and ShouldIRemoveIt with the free version of Reason for comprehensive malware protection. I'd be grateful if you tried it out and gave me your feedback.
