Trojan.vundo spread over network accounts

March 31, 2010 at 18:41:41
Specs: Windows XP Media Center Edition SP3
I just finished removing the trojan vundo virus from my laptop. Yet my laptop is more sluggish than it ever was before the virus. Thats when I thought back. On my laptop, there are three user accounts: Mine my sisters and a guest account. Is it possible that even though I removed the trojan from my account it is still on the other two and therefore causing the sluggishness? And if so, does it mean I have to remove it from all of them?

There is a possibility that they have programs reinstalling the virus.

Run Malwarebytes again and post its log please.

Trojan remover is free and totally functional for 30 days. Give that a try and if there is a trojan, it should remove it.

You can uninstall it after it runs clean
If you still have a problem try Hitman Pro which is also free and fully functional.

You can uninstall it also after it runs clean
If those 2 don't work you may want to try combofix, follow the instructions on the download website:

I have fixed many PC's with those free tools and it saved me lots of time scanning.

Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers
