Trojan Horse IRC Backdoor sdBoth ACVN

Specs: Windows XP
What does it do and when removed how sure can we be it is gone? Also will Malware fully delete it?

Can we be sure the numerous Virus Removal Companies have the tools to do the job fully.

Having been hacked What action would be recommended to take after the event to ensure complete safety.

We will let you know when you are clean.

" Also will Malware fully delete it?"
I think you mean Malwarebytes.
Probably not.

"Can we be sure the numerous Virus Removal Companies have the tools to do the job fully."
No, the badies are always ahead of the goodies.

Having been hacked What action would be recommended to take after the event to ensure complete safety.

Keep away from Peer to Peer file sharing websites. You never know where the file is coming from. It could be coming from Moscow, Beijing or Timbuktu for all you know.

Resist the temptation to click every button that says "Free Download"

Only download from trusted sources and when you know exactly what it is you are downloading..

You can never ensure complete safety any more than you can ensure complete safety when driving your car on the highway. However you can reduce the risks considerably with a bit of common sense and a fait bit of knowledge of how these nasties are spread.

Keep away from Pornography web sites.
