Trojan Browser Hijacker... Any Help

March 20, 2012 at 05:01:18
Specs: Windows 7
I have a Browser Hijacker problem i think. I have 2 antivirus Programs, each stating that i have a trojan affecting the Browser.exe files (EG; Chrome.exe) I deleted google chrome and installed Firefox and ran a new scan with AVG 2012 full and i got the same thing (affecting Firefox.exe). The Windows Defender problems are almost the same, except it states that the infected area is the browser temp folders...

Can someone please tell me how i can get rid of them? Ive tried searching, yet nothing relevant. Ive tried to use Virus program to remove, Yet it still comes up. I do not want to format drive because ive got over 100 GB of data that i need to keep and i don't have the original Windows 7 CD anymore D: can someone please help!

You should only install ONE Anti Virus Software, otherwise they conflict, Either MSE or Avira Free are good.

Have you tried Malwarebytes which removes various Crapware ?

Also use CCleaner to clear out Temp. FIles...

Googling is quicker than waiting for an answer....

I had windows defender... which wasnt doing a sufficient job. I then brought AVG 2012 which i do not run with Windows defender. I run them one at a time. And im not willing to give up AVG as i spent money on it

try these 2 free fully working trials:
1- trojan Remover
2- hitman pro
Run them both until they run clean, then use THEIR installers in all programs, NOT the uninstaller in Programs & Features
