Solved There is an unknown .exe that has been detected

October 23, 2012 at 12:16:49
Specs: Windows 7
Scanned an HDD that was suspected to be infected with a keylogger; MalwareBytes Anti-Malware detected an exe named "KB00240456.exe" in AppData. Can't find anything online about it, and was curious if anyone knew what exactly it is and does, where it came from, etc.

What did Malwarebytes identify the .exe as? Trojan, Worm, Rootkit?

Download and run Rkill from this link:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/dow...

TDSSkiller from this link:

Then update then re-run Malwarebytes and your Antivirus software.

Well we found it on a computer at my workplace, and we suspect it is a keylogger. I think MalwareBytes had it labeled "Malware.Packager" or something along those lines. I will update tomorrow when I have the info in front of me.
