|We need a little bit more information to give you exact answers. Please post your exact make and model number of your system, or if it is a custom machine, post all component specs. Here are some general info for now:|
1- If you want to still try to remove the virus, give us some details and most likely JohnW will be around and offer a series of steps to clean and verify your system right.
2- If you are sure that it will be easier to reload OS (sometimes this is the case), you need to do a factry restore. On most manufactured systems there is a key or keys you tap at boot up to access the recovery console and initiate the factory restore from the recovery partition on your machine. On machines that do not have this partition, you should have (or can get from the mfg.) a recovery disk set to format and reload the OS.
3- If the "Provided disk" is a recovery disk, then you may need to reset your boot order in order to boot from the DVD to initiate the reload of the OS. You boot to the disk and choose the custom install option and delete the partition(s), create a new partition, format it to NTFS, and begin the install.
You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
