Solved System refreshes and keyboard is not responsive

January 8, 2014 at 08:51:53
Specs: Vista, 1
I have the same problem. I am using a Dell Vostro 1400 pre installed with windows Vista. I formatted several times but still the problem is there. I even used an external keyboard but for my horror even that was not responding properly. System refreshes and types weird characters always. I am getting so frustrated. Guys is it a hardware failure?

If you really did reformat then it is unlikely that a virus will still be present. Usually this sort of symptom requires keyboard repair or replacement. One thing you could try is turning the power off then tap each key very hard for about 20 times. Sometimes this helps, at least for a while. If any character in particular keeps being typed then concentrate on that key.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Unfortunately my psychic powers seem to be waning as I age.

Extremely sorry coz I couldn't give the proper information about the fault. Since last week I felt my laptop is kind of haunted coz the keyboard acts so weird as it types on its own and the system refreshes many times. Can't even type or view the Internet coz when I use the keyboard something else is typing on its own. Is it a freeking virus or a hardware failure? I did a fresh format and reinstalled and still the prob persists. I even tried a External USB keyboard even that was acting so weird..did some scans but still couldnt find a virus. So so frustrated and mad.. Hope if some one can help me regarding this issue.
