Welcome screen shows 'switch user'. other user is me, my name , my password. And user
always 'logged on' When i shut down, i often get warning message that other users are using the computer and may lose work if I shut down. .Today, I tried to sign on to aol and had message that another user was using (AOL) software, told to switch back to that username and sign off , then try again. This has happened before. I switched users and the aol software was closed but a file that opens with aol was open. There were no footprints or history. AOL billing showed 18 prior minutes online under my screen name. I changed password. How can I trace the computer hacking in to mine and how can I shut this user account down. thank you

Is your connection shared with any other computers? Do you have a wireless router? You could probably call AOL and explain the situation to them and see if they can check into it or give you a new username and password.....maybe for a fee....not sure. Most important is; Are you the security problem via an open wireless router, a shared connection. OR has someone gained access to your aol login info?

The Windows logon screen is suggestion you have more than one user account on the computer perhaps using the administrator account....so when you go to log off windows states another user was logged on and has not yet logged off.....These refer your computer.....so could someone in your house be logging on to your computer and using another account other than yours, and then logging in with your aol connection. How do you connect.......dial up, a high speed modem, a router????????????
