What browser are you using? You can usually open your browser and go into the "view".....toolbars....and unselect it. Have you tried going into the control panel, Programs, and look for SweetIM toolbar to uninstall. Always a good idea to download, update and run Malwarebytes, do a full scan and it will get rid of malware....a good program for everyone to have...simply show results and remove selected when it finishes...may be asked to restart. Try these and see how you make out and if you still cannot get rid of it let us know.
Link for malwarebytes.

I was able to lose the SweetIM toolbar through going to Tools-add ons -then extensions, I disabled it from the list.
This is now however a midicairUSA Customized Web Search bar?? and it's not in the extensions list so I can't disable it.

I will try your tip, thank you.

All the best.
