Solved Suggeste free download of PC Scanner but it wasn't free

September 6, 2013 at 20:11:24
Specs: Windows 7
It wasn't free so I couldn't scan my computer. Still have blue links everywhere and popups everywhere including big ones wanting me to fill out surveys when I go to websites like Wholefoods.com. The ones connected to blue links are from "Search Assist" and this has been blasting me for going on a week now!

After MalwareBytes has done it's stuff use this to get shot of any nasty toolbar that you might have picked up:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/dow...

It is not installed in the true sense, you just download the file and Save it somewhere then double click it. Run the Scan first. You then have an opportunity to read its report (log) but I have found it quite safe to run the Clean that gets shot of any junk it finds.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Yeah, it links back to this page. I used to do that sometimes when people ignored my responses. I'd say something like 'check # 3 here for a great solution' and then link back to the same page.

Artabove you can run malwarebytes:

http://www.filehippo.com/download_m...

(Download from the upper right column link, not the lower one that says 'download now'.) It might just be a free trial--I haven't run the newer versions--but it'll still clear most things up.
