Specs: Windows Vista
After following a link in an email message a spyware was installed. How can I get rid of it? Norton antivirus will do the job? What about spybot?

"Norton antivirus will do the job? What about spybot?"

That depends on what it is you've been infected with. While both of those are good programs, nothing is 100%. Perhaps you can describe more in-depth what it is you're observing.

Its just paranoia. Apparently nothing is wrong with the computer. However, can I pay bills, access banking accounts.. without formating the hd? Spybot and AVG scan found nothing.
Tks

If nothings wrong with your pc? Why do you think you need to reformat?
Run AVG and Spybot in safe mode and see what they find then.
