Security alert pops can't be changed

Specs: Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit
Comment: (edit)Whenever I change sites, I get a security alert pop up warning that I am either about to view pages over a secure connection or changing from a secure to not secure. I have checked the box to indicate "In the future, do not show this warning", but it doesn't ever work. I have tried going into Internet Options/Advanced tab and unchecking the "Warn if Changing between Secure and no secure mode" and it doesn't work (always goes back to being checked). I have tried changing the security levels on internet options and that doesn't work--they always reset back to the same way. How can I change this and get rid of the security pop ups without disabling the user account control?
