Microsoft Windows 7 ultimate 32-bit
June 5, 2010 at 10:02:57
Specs: Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit
Whenever I try and do a search on Google or Yahoo, the links I click on get redirected to another website of no relevance.

It tends to happen when I search for anti-virus type websites or Windows Update. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit on Toshiba Equium L40-10X.

Any help on how to remove the virus would be much appreciated.

You can start by running:
1- Malwarebytes
http://www.filehippo.com/download_m...
2- Trojan Remover:
http://www.simplysup.com/tremover/d...
3- Hitman Pro:
http://www.surfright.nl/en
You can uninstall the last 2 after they run clean.

If the above don't help, you can use combofix:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/com...
Follow the instructions on that website.

Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers

Thanks for the quick reply, I had already tried Malwarebytes, Hitman Pro and Combofix and they had mixed results; some finding some not. I deleted the ones that they'd found at the time ut that still didn't work.

Just tried out Trojan Remover and it did find 2 things which I removed, restarted and I'm still getting redirected. Any other ideas?
