Script/Exploit Virus + Win32 Issues

August 2, 2010 at 22:16:26
Specs: Windows Vista
Recently, I received my laptop back from my university's computer repair center. Along with a new hard drive, I received a virus of some sort on my computer. It had turned off my AVG, and every time I tried to open a download (such as the AIM installer), a message pops up saying that it is not a "valid Win32 application".

I uninstalled and reinstalled AVG. That helped a bit by finding the script/exploit virus and moving it to the virus vault. However, I still can't open downloads because of that win32 error.

Help? :(
