Specs: Windows XP
I have 2 users, both have screen saver "on resume, password protect" checked (by mistake). I have never set any passwords for this. I click on either of the users and receive "loading personal settings", immediately get "logging off" and then "saving personal settings". Cannot get to desktop for control panel to change. This is on my home computer.

Tried it. Safe mode goes to a black screen with the drivers listed - can't do anything at this screen. It sits there, then goes to User window and has added administrator user. I click on administrator. "loads settings", flashes to black screen with 'safe mode' in 4 corners, "saves settings" and back to user screen.

you have to wait for the drivers to load.
Then you can click on your username, access your user accounts and go from there. It will safe safe mode on all 4 corners.

I have tried clicking on all users (one at a time), it does the same - loads settings, flashes safe mode screen (does not stop on screen), saves settings and I'm back to the user screen.
