Removing norton

Symantec Norton 360 - 3-users

Specs: Windows XP
What can I do to get the Norton 2002 off of my p/c. The product is no good and I have a new security suite that is much better but they are competing against one another. How can I remove Norton?I need this removed, I can't open up any of my School documents and this is causing problems in my school task. Can someone please help me out!!!!!!!!

mariac, Just use the Norton uninstaller from their website. It seems to work better if you download it to your PC and then install it and let it run:

Then be sure to download Avast Free so you have some great protection for free:

Hi there, simply using add/remove from the control panel does not always work for most users. You'll need a removal tool from symantec. You can check in on this article on removing norton completely.
