removed AVG 2011 and outlook express stopped

January 12, 2011 at 02:00:07
Specs: Windows XP
I have uninstalled AVG 2011 - not an easy task in itself as the add/remove function in control panel only part does the job. Even going by programs - avg - uninstall avg, had the same effect. After searching about on the internet I came across an avg program for uninstalling their own products.

Everything appeared to good well with this until I tried to read my emails using outlook express - now I just get error messages for all accounts.

I've had a quick look at the settings and they appear to be ok (but I'm not particularly computer literate, so could be wrong) so I'm not sure where the problem lies.

Thanks in advance

Simon

download and run Ccleaner Slim:
http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/bu...
It's at the bottom of the list.
Run the cleaner and also the registry clean and remove all it finds.
