Sounds like you might be infected.

Please run and post a HijackThis log so that I can see what, if any, infection we might be dealing with.

To post a HijackThis log. Simply download HijackThis from here. Accept the defaults during installation and it should install into the "C:\Program files\Trend Micro\HijackThis" folder. Once it is installed, browse to that folder and change the name of the program to Scanit.exe. Now run it and select "Do a system scan and save a log file". Once the scan is complete, copy and paste the output of the log into this thread.

Its a Malware problem and NOT anything to do with Windows updates as suggested in other forums. A program called ComboFix will sort it out in about 10-15 mins www.combofix.org . Your machine will look like it doesn't have internet access but it kind of does. If you have a FTP site you can access that or download it and stick it on a CD from another PC. If it asks to Update you MUST do it or the program stops. Try it out! You Won't Be Disappointed! Oh forgot to mention the program is FREE!

I highly reccomend against using ComboFix unless directed to by someone who is familiar with the problem. As the author of ComboFix states in a post on another forum:

"You should not listen to bad advise. I made ComboFix but there's a valid reason why we don't ask you to run ComboFix from the onset. ComboFix is a very powerful tool which when improperly used may render your machine to a doorstop. So, we ask user to first run preliminary non-invasive scans like DDS & Gmer, to bring back some logs. With this logs we can determine the infections present & decide whether to deploy ComboFix."

Please run HijackThis using the instructions that I provided and post the logfile here so we can get an idea of what might be going on. Once you have done that, we can see where to go from there.
