hi,

i have a problem with my usb drive. it is a sony
2GB one. I have about 50 files in it but I can't
access them. I use windows xp.

When I plug the pen drive in the usb port
everything is ok. The problem starts when I try
to open the pen drive in "My Computer". When
I click the "Removable disk E:" I get to see the
files in the drive but then Windows Explorer
crashes and I am forced to close it. When I do
that my screen goes blank, showing only my
wallpaper for a few seconds. Then everything
goes back to normal, but I cannot do anything
with my pendrive.

I researched this and other forums and found
out about this Recycler virus. I found a way to
fix this in this site:

I followed all the steps and was able to delete
what the guide told me to but the problem is
not gone. I restarted my PC and everything is
the same.

Anyone can help me with this?

Regards,

nope, I can't do that, i get a message saying that windows
couldn't find the file. I tried with .e x e and without it. when i open the program "billy. e x e" shows up in the task manager.

autorun has been monitoring for a couple of hours now. how long does this take? i will leave it all night long...

as far as I know there should be a "recycler" folder in my pen drive, but I was never able to finde one. I can only see the files immediately under E: and then windows explorer crashes, so I can't explore it.

i am not sure if i still got that virus but i think I do have it cause i still can't explore my usb drive. what is going on? what should I do?
