Solved random website redirects.

Specs: Windows XP
I have the weirdest situation. I keep getting randomly redirected to different websites, particularly when searching through google but sometimes when manually typing in my url or clicking a link in a page. Normally I would say this is a trojan or something but the odd thing is it's ONLY when I'm in my apartment. I can take my laptop to work and have no issues whatsoever, or if someone brings a computer to my apartment the same thing happens to them. I have tried on both wifi and hardlined and it makes no difference. The best I can figure is that it's a problem with my router or modem. someone please help.

I've run several anti-virus and anti-malware programs. I've tried AVG, Malwarebytes, Spybot, and Microsoft Security Essentials. The odd thing is that it doesn't seem to be limited to just my computers. (it's happening on 3). I've had people that bring computers into my apartment and it happens to them too.

hmmm, I would reset your modem for starters and then reset the router password, etc, that will probably fix the problem

turns out the issue was completely router related. I went ahead and reset the router and change the password and everything but it didn't seem to make a difference, then a couple days later my router just died. I bought another one and I've had no issues so far. Hopefully the problem is solved. Thanks for the help
