I use Firefox and IE and when I click certain links (Wiki, youtube) I get a random search engine! How could this be? I used AVG 9.0 and they found 8 trojan horses (.Delf). I also scanned with Malware and found nothing. I just installed HiJackThis. Below are the results. HELP!!

Try scanning with Kaspersky Antivirus/and or Malware Bytes! again in safe mode. Also, I see you have Cyber Defender/Ascentive on there which is probably the cause of the problem. read the instructions given/download Combofix from here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/com... and then post the log, please.

Also, I wouldn't use AVG in the future. I had the same problem, and the only thing that stopped most Trojans was Kaspersky. They are second to none in my book. You could also try AVAST! Pro Edition, as it comes with a webshield (I believe the free version does as well).

Edit: meant to say that the Cyber Defender/Ascentive software in there is probably one of the causes. As it's fake software.

xryanx, you should learn the rules of this forum. NO HIJACKTHIS LOGS are to be posted without a request from a qualified helper.
You should NOT respond to a post like that, or are you just trying to see your name on posts?

Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers
