random redirects in firefox

Specs: Windows 7, 3gb
Hey guys,
For the last week my computer has been running really slowly and when i click a link from google it will redirect me to some random search engine and sometimes this will happen when clicking links in another website.

I did a hijack this scan then but couldnt find anything sus in their. I ran malwarebytes but it couldnt delete some viruses it found so i ran it again in safe mode and it all worked. After restarting I did another scan to see if they had come back and nothing was found but I still got redirected.

Also some things (not sure exactly what) will stop working like i wont be able to open up firefox or a game and no media will play. pretty much nothing will work except for windows explorer :(

I would really appreciate some help with this. Thanks in advance.
