I have a DELL Desk-top running Windows XP SP2, Microsoft Outlook SP3, Avast Antivirus, Stopzilla, CCleaner, Spybot S&D, Hijackthis.

The problem is when I send an email I get a pop-up that says "A program is trying to access email addresses you have stored in outlook. Do you want to allow this." "If this is unexpected it may be a virus and you should answer no"

I only get this message in MS Outlook. If I send an email using Outlook Express I don't get the message. I could just change to Outlook Express but I really like MS Outlook better. I consider myself an advanced "user" because my tech skills are limited.

Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Jack

stopzilla is probably the culprit, try uninstalling that and see if that helps

just out of curiousity, why not tap f8, go to safemode with networking and see if that problem is still there?

Actually I'm wondering 'what' is giving you that pop-up? Is it Avast or another program?

Same pop up in the safe mode .... I think the message is coming from outlook. What ever it is doesn't effect outlook express.
