Solved Prevent snap.do toolbar browser hijack from install itself

my Q\ is simple does any one know away of blocking this from installing its self to your browser ?????

To ensure that the malware does not install on your system, keep Windows and antivirus up to date.

Just to add to #1.

It would be worth installing ADWCleaner (free) and running it from time to time:

Use the Delete button and it will remove all addon toolbars.

As for prevention, then make sure you uncheck any unwanted extras when you download free programs. Even then they can still get foisted on you, which is why I recommend the above program.

hi Derek nice to see you again well you know what I mean any way I installed and ran that programme and I was surprised how much junk gets in to my pc with out my permission thanks for that it is just what I was looking for \\and to every one else that gave me advice thanks you as well when you are looking for answers you need all the help you can get

Just to mention that when there is an update to ADWCleaner sometimes the file goes missing (I think it depends on whether you go for the updates at that time or not). Whatever, you just download the latest one, put it in the same place and it works once more - from any shortcut you might have made to it. Best stick to bleepingcomputer for this download as, so far, it has been a safe website.
