My hard drive is infected with a malware/virus 'e5188982.exe'. In my hard drive, EVERY folder is a Shortcut (size 2 KB) now. When I open a folder, the Command Prompt window opens, the virus executes and the folder is opened. I tried deleting the 'RECYCLED' folder (in which the 'e5188982.exe' is situated), but the folder is again and again created automatically when I eject and re-insert my hard drive. The ACTUAL FOLDERS (that are NOTshortcuts) are hidden permanently. When I try unchecking the 'Hidden' attribute in the folder's properties, it does not work. I have some important files in my hard drive... What should I do?
