Solved Password security help please!

Specs: Windows 10
I have a several page file with random typing on it. I copy and paste a long section of it with numbers, letters, and characters for my password. It is random and I change the place in the document where I take the password monthly. After I copy and paste it, I copy another section to cleat the clipboard. I unplug the computer from the internet when not using it--this computer is only used for financial transactions and each account has a different password taken from the randomly generated multiple page document. Is this safe? Can the password be stolen from the clipboard? I have the password saving function disabled on the browser. Or would a Password manager be safer? Thanks.

"Can the password be stolen from the clipboard?"

Lets say this, the contents of the clipboard are retained until such time as they are overwritten by copying something else, or until the computer is restarted.

If needed you can clear the clipboard without restarting by using the free program CCleaner. Alternatively just copy something new onto the clipboard.

There are clipboard managers around which will show you what is on there but, as always, keep and eye out for any unwanted goodies or malware:

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
