Open With Virus

Specs: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium, 2.6 GHz / 2941 MB
I had a virus: Visa Antivurs Pro. I cleaned it up with Nortons Avtivirus 2010 but now I am getting "Open With" on all the files that I try to open including Internet Explorer. Can you please help me?

ladidy13, Try the exe file association fix at the link below. Usage instructions are on the page.

Note: If you can't access the Internet with the problem computer use another computer to download the reg file fix onto a CD, thumb drive, or floppy and transfer the file to the problem computer then run it.

After that .reg file is merged into the registry successfully restart your computer.

I also have the same problem but on XP. I am not sure of the virus, but AVG antivirus popped a virus message and I clicked quarnatine. After the reboot, I can open the folders but not applications like AVG itself, WMP or IE

The above link is for vista? Could you post the fix for XP?
