only the guest account is infected with the F

March 4, 2011 at 14:21:09
Specs: Windows Vista
All the other types of accounts are OK. When I log onto the guest account, I see this fake alert. It stops me from running a McAfee scan from the guest account. I am not able to log into the guest account when the computer is in safe mode. I get a not able to connect the sens service and then the log in is aborted.

Anyone know what my options are beside disabling the guest account.

Thanks

What exactly is the "sens service"?. Secondly, do you have any control over the Task Manager, or has that been disabled?. Guest Accounts have limited privileges, unlike Administrator accounts so perhaps that's why you cannot scan with McAfee.

I was able to fix the issue. I was wondering why McAfee ran and indicated that it removed some tracking cookies and fixed some infected files during a 12+ hour scan but at the same time had no effect on the guest account problem. So I went to the McAfee website and after a while discovered that they had a program that repairs their product. So I ran it and it indicated that there was something wrong with their virus scanner and it had fixed it. So when I logged into the guest account to see if would be able to do a scan as a reult. But noticed that the fake alert did not show up. I ran a quick scan and it ran all the way through. I then ran a full scan and it ran all the way through. So it looks like the Trojan had infected McAfee and so it would run for the guest account. This just had to be fixed before it would run for the guest account.
