Whenever I open a new tab fire fox goes to a page.
It isn't my homepage and I never use it so I'd like to change back to jut blank page.
from Tools>opinions>General I have set it so, but nothing changed.
It started when I downloaded a program and I know I should be more careful, but could you please help me
reboot your PC anf keep tapping f8....THEN choose safe mode with networking.
Run malwarebytes again and fix all it finds. If that doesn't solve the problem (still in safemode) , download and then try these 2 fully working trials and run them till they run clean:
1- Trojan Remover
2- Hitman Pro
Once they run clean you should...USE THEIR OWN UNINSTALLER....not add/remove as it will not remove them properly. Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions 7 Golds
What program was installed? Is is something that you can uninstall? If not (or you are not willing to do so), what site does it direct to. There are multiple possibilities and this would narrow it down. Knowing nothing at all, I would say reset your proxy server and hosts file. Run Malwarebytes. mike
I think it came with utorrent and I'd like to keep it. This is the page that opens:http://search.babylon.com/?babsrc=NT_bb
Ok, Looks like a BHO, here is what I would recommend. (probably not super evil) 1.)switch your computer into safe mode, f8 during startup
2.)Download Malwarebytes http://download.bleepingcomputer.co...
3.)Allow malwarebytes to update.
4.)Remove what it finds, and it should ask to reboot.
5.)Post the log here, so I can see what else may be off.mike
I couldn't do this in safe mode because my computer didn't have internet then.
I removed all it found and restarted computer, but babylon still opens...
