not able to access one of the drives

Specs: Windows Vista
internal G drive shows empty after double cliking or exploring. This happened after i ran some unknown application.

anything on there that has been hidden?

could try typeing command in the run field
type cd\
g:
dir /ah
if a whole bunch of files come up they are hidden

If there are no hidden files, then you should get: "File Not Found".

true, sorry aaflac, didnt even think, my suspicion is someone hid all the files, but there could be a hardware software problem? this will eliminate the hidden file

you could also do this

type cd\
g:
dir /ah>c:\myhiddenfiles.txt

so that it wouldnt print on the screen.

then the file names would be listed in myhiddenfiles.txt on your c drive
