No more free CCleaner download from Piriform?

October 21, 2010 at 21:45:30
Specs: Windows XP
I am using CCleaner currently when there is an update. When I go to the update, there is a Priority Support which had to pay money. I don't mind having without the Priority Support and it must be free. Any idea?

exactly what site did you go to? Post a link.

Here is where I go for my updates because I don't want the yahoo toolbar, I only use Ccleaner Slim
http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/bu...
I myself turn off the update feature on all Ccleaners that I install on clients machines and ask them to go to that link above once a month and renew Ccleaner.

Ok Pooh, did you not see on the download itself that it said
"CCleaner - Priority Support ($24.95) "
Do you know what that means?
They have to make money somehow, it does not mean that there is a charge for the free version of Ccleaner

Also, wondering if that was the actual link to a page that comes up when it says update is available. I would suggest just going to the link I provided.

When you open CCleaner and it says there s a new version, and you click through to it, it opens a page at http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/do...

In the middle of this page it says:
Download CCleaner Installer
Please help support our software and make your computer faster and more secure!
CCleaner - Priority Support ($24.95)
Then it has a Buy Online and Download button, and "We accept the following:"
Below that it says:
Version 3.05.1409 (2,979 kb)
- Download from FileHippo.com
- Download from Piriform.com

Both those links, to FileHippo and Piriform are for the free download and don't ask for payment.
