Network Error: Printing was interrupted.

June 29, 2016 at 12:43:57
Specs: Windows Vista, Pentium Dual / 3GB
Network Error: Printing was interrupted. Please try again.NotAllowedError: Security settings prevent access to this property or method. I get this error every time I try to print a SmartSource coupon thru a .fdf. I have checked to make sure my Java is enabled in my browser (Chrome) as directed by SmartSource, and now they say I need to get help elsewhere to resolve this issue. I have Windows Vista, am using Adobe Reader X Version 10.1.16.

These logs may reveal the problem.

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it onto your Desktop. If your default download location is not the Desktop, drag it out of it's location onto the Desktop.

If we have to run Farbar more than once, refer this SS.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.
Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
Press Scan button.
It will make a log (FRST.txt) on the Desktop.
The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt)
The logs are large, upload them using Zippy ( No account/registration needed ) or upload to a site of your choosing. Give us the links please.

Why am I installing this? Installing something called "ZippyShare" doesn't give me a warm fuzzy, if you know what I mean.

Johnw suggested zippyshare as it will allow you to post and share the very large files he has requested. These files are log files of what was found, and dealt with too perhaps? As I see it there will be no personal date therein?

Johnw is well versed (as are several others here) in dealing with pests, malware etc; and his (their) advice is safe to follow.

The only thing you are sharing is those technical logs with the folk on this post.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Have you tried to reinstall the printer software?
Perhaps your firewall was altered and blocks the printer port.

I can print everything else, just not SmartSource because it uses .fdf files to print.

fdf is file format created by Adobe...

http://www.verypdf.com/pdfform/fdf.htm

You can print them by right clicking on the file and choosing to open with... adobe or presumably other software/apps too...

This is a list of assorted info (and how to) which will be useful to browse. That way you get to see what etc, and I don't just cherry pick and possibly not pick the correct cherry?

This is a/these are file/s already on your computer; not one a network source (i.e. the web/internet)?

Do you have anti-virus installed/enabled and (hopefully) if so which one?

Likewise any additional firewall utility installed?

Maybe the file is corrupted if that's the only one that is giving you trouble.

It happens every time I try to open any .fdf file, after I have saved it to my computer. I am running Microsoft Security Essentials.

It's a bit specialised - fdf is not really a file in its own right. This helped someone so its worth a try:

Open Adobe Reader

Edit menu and select Preferences

Under 'Internet', make sure the box for 'Display PDF in browser' is checked. Click OK to save your changes. [Alternatively "Select Allow opening of non-PDF file attachments" ]

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

The only 3 options I have under 'Internet' are: Display in Read Mode by default; Allow fast web view; and, Allow speculative downloading in the background, and they are all checked.

Very similar to my #12 but I guess it's worth checking out:

EDIT:
I'm assuming your Adobe version could have similar options.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Long shots...

Update Adobe to latest version with whichVista is OK and see if it helps. Similarly uninstall Adobe, reboot, re-install latest etc. Adobe and see if any help?

Also one or two of the other pdf reader utils (freebies) out there as possibly one of those may also be happy with fdf format...?
