My Windows 7 computer has a blue screen virus

November 22, 2011 at 08:20:53
Specs: Windows 7
For awhile now my computer has just not been responding correctly and has only worked in safe mode. Today when I logged in normally, a blue screen popped up and told me my computer wasn't working correctly and so forth. My computer restarted and I put it back into safe mode. My brother said that it is something called a blue screen virus? Is this bad and how can I fix it? I don't really know much about computers so this is all new.

If you can start Windows,System Restore is the easiest thing to try first. It can undo recent changes to your computer's system files that might have caused the problem. System Restore doesn't affect your personal files, such as e‑mail, documents, or photos.
