My computer won't let me run antivirus or malwarebytes

June 16, 2016 at 09:34:10
Specs: Windows 7
I am using Windows 7. Also, all programs play avi's or mp4's and all music like chipmunks. It also won't let me restore it to an earlier point.

Sounds like your system is infected & the infection is blocking the AV & Malwarebytes. Try using a bootable Rescue disk: http://www.digitalcitizen.life/top-...

Another way.

Run HitmanPro Kickstart. Note: You will need a USB flash/thumb/pen drive to use this method.

Create a HitmanPro.Kickstart USB flash drive on a good comp, then insert the flash drive in the faulty comp.
Boot & go into the bios & change the boot order to the thumb drive first. F10 to Save & Exit.

If you can, and if you get a name of the virus by the scans, drop by the name of the virus. Try HitmanPro first. If it fails, try a bootable rescue disk.
