multiple viruses and mcafee not working

Specs: Microsoft Windows XP Professional, 1.697 GHz / 1015 MB
this all started about a month ago in the beginning of February. I noticed that when I searched on a search engine, and clicked on a result, it redirected me to another site. (there were some exceptions, sometimes it worked when cookies were turned off, or if it was a big site e.g. Microsoft), I was tired of viruses on my computer and I didn't want to deal with it so I ignored it. now, McAfee gives an error that says "the detection signature file is between 7 and 29 days old. I looked this up, and this was found on virus- infected computers. so i searched all files on my computer that were modified in the past month, and almost all of them were in documents and settings/ "user" I have been downloading some online games recently, as well as other things like updates to drivers. the thing is, everything else works fine, but when I try to access documents and setting/ "user" , windows explorer crashes, and the screen goes blank except for the background, then starts up again. (programs do not crash, only the explorer does). so then I thought, "man , my computer is really infected." so I tried system restore, but it was turned off. after digging around in the registry, I deleted a value that turned it off, but all my restore points were deleted. my computer is really infected bad. I hear that combofix helps with this kind of stuff, but I haven't downloaded it. someone please help!!!

Combofix will help but there a few things that need to happen before you run it as there are several things that will cause it to hang up your computer. This first scan will determine the type of virus you hace. and Malwarebytes will remove some of the virus and provide other info.

Download DDS and save it to your desktop.
DDS.scr

Disable any script blocker if your Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware has it.
Once downloaded you can disconnect from the Internet and disable your Ant-Virus temporarily if needed.
Then double click dds.scr to run the tool.
When done, the DDS.txt will open.
Click Yes at the next prompt for Optional Scan.

When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
1. DDS.txt
2. Attach.txt

Save both reports to your desktop then post them please.

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from one of these sites:

MalwareBytes1

MalwareBytes2

Rename the setup file, mbam-setup.exe, before you download it. To do that once the "enter name of file to save to" box appears as the download begins in the filename box rename mbam-setup.exe to tool.exe> click save.

1. Double Click tool.exe to install the application.
2. Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
3. If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
4. Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan. The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
5. When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
6. Make sure that everything found is checked, and click Remove Selected.
7. When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.
8. The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
9. Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.

ATTENTION I forgot to mention this in the first post, but I know I have a really bad virus because my computer will not boot into safe mode. I don't know If this means I have to download an extra tool or something. Also, the program acunetix web vulnerability scanner 6.0 is a cracked version of it. so it might have viruses. anyway, here is the first log, dds.txt:

ATTENTION: about the malwarebytes, I have it already on my computer, but you said to rename it, so I was going to delete it and reinstall, but I don't know if it is just the virus on my computer or for everybody, but the page doesn't load. It says cannot find server at www.malwarebytes.org. I don't know what I should do about that. I have a second computer and a flashdrive, but that is probably infected too.

You may need to download these to a cd, external drive, or usb drive and run it on the infected computer but first try to run it from the infected computer.

Please download Rkill from the following link.

Rkill

Before we begin, you should disable your anti-malware softwares you have installed so they do not interfere RKill running as some anti-malware softwares detect RKill as malicious. This link will help you disable them:

Click on This Link to see a list of programs that should be disabled. The list is not all inclusive. If yours is not listed and you don't know how to disable it, please ask.

Double-click on Rkill on your desktop to run it. (If you are using Windows Vista, please right-click on it and select Run As Administrator)

A black screen will appear and then disappear. Please do not worry, that is normal.

If you get a message that rkill is an infection, do not be concerned. This message is just a fake warning given by the malware when it terminates programs that may potentially remove it. If you run into these infections warnings that close Rkill, a trick is to leave the warning on the screen and then run Rkill again. By not closing the warning, this typically will allow you to bypass the malware trying to protect itself so that rkill can terminate the malware . So, please try running Rkill until malware is no longer running. You will then be able to proceed with the rest of the guide.

Do not reboot your computer after running rkill as the malware programs will start again.

Then try to download and run Malwarebytes.

first I am assuming you got what you needed from the dds logs. anyway, I downloaded rkill and ran it, and it terminated 2 processes (also it terminated itself, but i didn't count that has one of the two.) it terminated program files/hp/digital imaging or something. so then I tried to download malwarebytes, and it didn't work.also, right after I ran rkill, an update for flash player came up, although I didn't click anything and I just pressed alt+f4. I have another computer and a flash drive, but that computer might have malware too, so I don't know if I should download it from that. also, are you sure i can't use the malwarebytes I already have on my computer?

the quick scan was taking forever, so I downloaded a new version on another computer and used a flash drive to replace the old one. the "quick" scan still took over 2 hours, but it finally finished. 2 infected items were found, which I removed using malwarebytes. here is the log:

Since you were able to download DDS, maybe you can download this less intrusive programs and run it. Run Rkill then try to download OLT.

Please download OTL from following site:

OTL by OldTimer

1. Save it to your desktop
2. Double click the OTL icon on your desktop
3. Close any open browsers.
4. Double-click on OTL.exe to start the program.
Leave all settings as they appear as default, except for the following:

Under the Custom Scan box paste this in
netsvcs
%SYSTEMDRIVE%\*.exe
/md5start
eventlog.dll
scecli.dll
netlogon.dll
cngaudit.dll
sceclt.dll
ntelogon.dll
logevent.dll
iaStor.sys
nvstor.sys
atapi.sys
IdeChnDr.sys
viasraid.sys
AGP440.sys
vaxscsi.sys
nvatabus.sys
viamraid.sys
nvata.sys
nvgts.sys
iastorv.sys
ViPrt.sys
eNetHook.dll
ahcix86.sys
KR10N.sys
nvstor32.sys
ahcix86s.sys
/md5stop
%systemroot%\*. /mp /s
CREATERESTOREPOINT

Now click the Run Scan button on the toolbar.
The program will be scanning huge amounts of data so depending on your system it could take a long time to complete. Let it run unhindered until it finishes.
When the scan is complete Notepad will open with the report file loaded in it.
Save that notepad file
Post the contents of that Notepad document in your next reply.
