See this:

In any event, your employer is quite within their rights to monitor what you are looking at online using one of their computers, and especially if you are doing it in working hours.

For personal use you should only use your own computer if you don't want your employer to know about your online activities. That's just common sense.

This link includes a brief description about what it does; andI don't see any obvious reference to monitoring actual browsing... However... I would imagine that it maintains a log of sorts, and/or that the company IT dept may check that log at times...; or possibly have other (undisclosed to staff) software/monitors in use hat may track browsing?

With security the way it is these days, any company might feel it's wise(r) to monitor in some way; if only to detect possible illegal activities; not the least those leading to terrorism?

However... this link which has contribution from a McAfee tech does seem to suggest it does monitor browsing,,.? And the tech of course offers the same wise counsel, as do many others, about what not to do on a company system...

Many companies treat doing personal stuff on company time as steeling from the company. Some will allow a warning or two but most will terminate staff for that or less. This does not even consider inappropriate content or illegal content that may be covered under a zero tolerance policy.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
