Windows Vista and Windows 7 are similar ENOUGH that some installers will treat them as the same thing. Did you make sure that you downloaded the 64 bit version? A 32 bit version of an anti-virus/firewall solution WILL NOT WORK ON A 64 BIT COMPUTER.

most 32bit applications will install and run on 64bit OS's. I am using win7 x64 and i have many 32bit applications i use on it. During install, 32bit apps will go in the c:/Program Files(x86)/ directory folder. However, you should contact them to make sure or get a refund.

@rsavage, while it is true that most applications that were designed for 32 bit operating systems will install on 64 bit OSes, in the case of antimalware solutions, this is completely false. Especially with these high brand-name companies (think Kaspersky or Norton), which use kernel patching to get the job done, will only install their 32 bit application onto 32 bit systems. If you try to install one on a 64 bit (which you shouldn't) it has to fail, because you can't patch the kernel in 64 bit windows. You need the 64 bit version of the installer to do that.

BTW, stop spamming the forums. Spam posting for your website won't help people. And please, research your answers first. I wish we had somewhere where you could put your Resources:, cause mine would include much, not to mention years in the field.
