"I quarantined it"

with what? Did you try a system restore back to when the problem didn't exist?

It would really help if you filled in the PC specs, OS, etc, so it would speed up a guessing game.

Some HELP in posting on plus free progs and instructions Cheers

I have Windows XP, and Webroot Antivirus detected the virus and asked me to quarantine it, after so I restarted and that's when the damage was done. A system restore is not permitted plus no Internet connection as to all files in the networks folders have been deleted and no connection can be established. also have Super antispyware but doesnt run.. I'm not very tech saavy so I would much appreciate a small tutorial as to how obtain more info that can help u out at least via control panel. Thank you.

Try running a scan with Hitman Pro 3.5. and see if it can find anything : as for your internet connection, maybe WinSock Fix will do the trick:

You can also try to scan with Rootrepeal

download file:

1) Extract the RootRepeal.exe file from the ZIP and save the EXE file to your Desktop.
2) Disable your antivirus, antispyware, and firewalls before continuing or they may block RootRepeal from running properly.
3) Now run RootRepeal.exe
4) On the bottom click the Files tab and then click the Scan button
5) Select all of your drives by checking the boxes and then click OK.
6) It will start scanning. It can take patient.
7) Attach the log your next reply.
